Here's what the email says: University of Iowa Farm Machine Music It took the team a combined 13,029 hours of set-up, alignment, calibration, and tuning before filming this video but as you can see it was WELL worth the effort. It is now on display in the Matthew Gerhard Alumni Hall at the University and is already slated to be donated to the Smithsonian. Some farmer likely forwarded this to another farmer as a joke, but also wanted to show how cool the video was, and so made up this story. Well, someone thought that person was serious, and started passing along the story. It has been embellished and added to many times now.
